Resources are equipment or rooms that cannot be used by two practitioners at the same time—for example a laser, HIFU machine, tanning bed, or a treatment room. When a treatment is linked to a resource, the system automatically prevents double bookings of that resource.

Manage resources from the <code>Resources</code> tab under <code>Services</code> (<code>/dashboard/services/resources</code>).

Go to <code>Services</code> (<code>/dashboard/services</code>).

Open the <code>Resources</code> tab (<code>/dashboard/services/resources</code>).

You can still link resources on a treatment: edit the treatment and open the <code>Resources</code> tab. That list does not delete the resource; it only links or unlinks it from that treatment.

Enter a name, and tick whether the resource is available for booking.

Optionally select the treatments that should use the resource.

1. Go to <code>Services</code> (<code>/dashboard/services</code>).
2. Open the <code>Resources</code> tab (<code>/dashboard/services/resources</code>).
3. Click <code>New Resource</code>.
4. Enter a name, and tick whether the resource is available for booking.
5. Optionally select the treatments that should use the resource.
6. Save.

You do not choose a type such as “equipment” or “room”. A resource is a named object, for example “HIFU 1” or “Room 2”.

Use the <code>Treatments</code> dropdown to select all treatments that should use the resource.

1. Open the <code>Resources</code> tab.
2. Click the resource to edit it.
3. Use the <code>Treatments</code> dropdown to select all treatments that should use the resource.
4. Save.

A booking that uses one of those treatments takes one free resource.

You can also link resources from the treatment: edit the treatment, open the <code>Resources</code> tab, and tick the resource in the list.

You can delete a resource only when it is not linked to any treatment.

Unlink all treatments in the dropdown and save, if it is in use.

Click <code>Delete resource</code> and confirm.

If the resource is still linked to treatments, delete is disabled and the linked treatments are listed.

Can I have multiple of the same resource?

You cannot set a quantity on a single resource. Create separate resources with unique names, such as “HIFU Machine 1” and “HIFU Machine 2”, and link the ones the treatment can use. The booking takes one that is free.
